We are working with a reputableclient, who are seekinga skilled and experienced Planning Manager to join their team. The Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production planning process from start to finish, working closely with various departments, and managing a small planning team to ensure high performance and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and be able to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Responsibilities as Planning Manager
- Develop and implement production planning work flowprocesses
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing departments
- Lead and mentor a small planning team to consistently achieve high performance targets
- Create schedules for short, medium, and long-term planning
- Manage resource planning, materials, estimating, and forecasting
- Lead sales and operations planning to reduce lead times and ensure on-time delivery
- Analyse and report on late deliveries, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Utilise ERP and MRP systems for efficient task processing
Qualifications and Experience as Planning Manager
- Previous experience in planning and master scheduling within an engineering and manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Effective communication and a positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritisetasks effectively
- Methodical and organiseswith a flexible approach
- Experience with capacity planning and stock management policies
