Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant with Credit Control experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the accounting department by managing various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy in data entry, and assisting with accounts receivables processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices for Accounts Receivables.
  • Raise sales invoices, credit notes, and refunds to clients as required.
  • Address queries from both internal and external stakeholders related to accounts receivable.
  • Perform accurate and efficient data entry using accounting software.
  • Process monthly statements and issue them to clients.
  • Communicate with clients and internal teams regarding overdue invoices.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and supporting documentation.
  • Support month-end closing processes by reconciling accounts and preparing Debtors reports.
  • Manage client relationships regarding payments, ensuring all records and documentation are kept up to date.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance department.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficiency in Sage50 accounting software is highly desirable.
  • Experience in data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Familiarity with accounts receivables and credit control processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
