We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Clients civil and structural engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of structural projects, from conception through to completion, in both domestic and commercial sectors. The successful candidate will be part of a small, dedicated team, working in a relaxed office setting within a company that values diversity and promotes an inclusive culture.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Involvement in projects of varying scale from conception through to completion.
  • Assessing and understanding project requirements.
  • Undertaking design across a number of disciplines.
  • Agreeing timescales and specifications with clients and managers.
  • Preparation of documents and reports.
  • Working towards Chartered status and maintaining CPD training.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A Master’s degree in civil/structural engineering.
  • Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident personality with the ability to liaise with clients and contractors.
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Masterseries, TEDDS, etc.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office to produce project-related documents.
  • Commitment to professional excellence and personal development.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Flexible approach to work, with the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to produce plans, write reports to support planning applications, design calculations, and construction drawings.
  • Capability to interact with fellow professionals on multidisciplinary projects and cooperate accordingly.
