CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to support a valued, Corp-B certified client in their search for an accomplished Head of Finance and Operations.  This unique opportunity sits within an inspiring and ambitious design studio, seeking an experienced leader to support their vision of maintaining their position as largest and most influential in their field.What will the Head of Finance role involve?

As a senior team member, the Head of Finance and Operations will lead a small team to ensure smooth, effective operations across financial control, IT, and facilities management.  Working closely with the Managing Director, this role is vital in creating a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing environment where the design team can excel. You’ll bring robust financial expertise while supporting creative freedom and sustainability objectives

What will the Head of Finance role involve?

  • Financial Control: Lead the finance team in all aspects of financial management, including statutory compliance, budgeting, cashflow, and sales/performance analysis, as well as ensuring appropriate insurance, payroll, and tax arrangements.
  • Operational Management: Oversee facilities and IT to foster a dynamic and productive workplace, manage third-party providers, and ensure a secure, compliant, and continuously improving environment.
  • Leadership and Compliance: Act as a role model within the business, driving excellence, sustainability, and alignment with company values.

Suitable Candidate for the Head of Finance vacancy:

  • Qualified Accountant: Proven experience in financial oversight and performance management.
  • People Leader: An inspiring manager capable of motivating and developing a team.
  • Commercially Savvy: Skilled in contract negotiation and third-party relationship management.
  • Operationally Minded: Experienced in IT, facilities, and business service management with an eye for detail and process improvement.
