As a senior team member, the Head of Finance and Operations will lead a small team to ensure smooth, effective operations across financial control, IT, and facilities management. Working closely with the Managing Director, this role is vital in creating a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing environment where the design team can excel. You’ll bring robust financial expertise while supporting creative freedom and sustainability objectives
What will the Head of Finance role involve?
- Financial Control: Lead the finance team in all aspects of financial management, including statutory compliance, budgeting, cashflow, and sales/performance analysis, as well as ensuring appropriate insurance, payroll, and tax arrangements.
- Operational Management: Oversee facilities and IT to foster a dynamic and productive workplace, manage third-party providers, and ensure a secure, compliant, and continuously improving environment.
- Leadership and Compliance: Act as a role model within the business, driving excellence, sustainability, and alignment with company values.
Suitable Candidate for the Head of Finance vacancy:
- Qualified Accountant: Proven experience in financial oversight and performance management.
- People Leader: An inspiring manager capable of motivating and developing a team.
- Commercially Savvy: Skilled in contract negotiation and third-party relationship management.
- Operationally Minded: Experienced in IT, facilities, and business service management with an eye for detail and process improvement.
