Your new company
We are currently recruiting for a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Senior Practitioner within the Encompass Fostering Therapeutic Service. This role involves undertaking assessments, support, and supervision of foster carers in the Encompass Hubs. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Encompass Fostering Therapeutic Service, which comprises highly experienced foster carers and supervising social workers. This is a newly launched project which aims to provide extensive support to therapeutically trained carers, enabling them to care for children with higher needs in a nurturing, family-based setting.


Your new role
In your new role you will be:

  • Conducting Encompass Family Assessments.
  • Undertaking home visits to Encompass families, providing supervision and support.
  • Attending PEPs, CLA reviews, and other relevant meetings.
  • Performing unannounced home visits.
  • Ensuring compliance checks for Encompass families are up to date.
  • Attending panels and meetings for matching purposes and reviews.
  • Working on projects within the Hub to achieve outstanding status.
  • Collaborating with all children's services for the best interests of the children and young people.



What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful, you must have:

  • Appropriate and relevant post-qualification experience of children and families social work within a statutory, voluntary or independent sector organisation.
  • A Social Work Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Be registered with Social Work England.
  • Be able to confidently support more junior members of staff.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Ability to think creatively in meeting children's & families needs.
