Would you describe yourself as a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager looking to join a collaborative and cohesive team. This role will focus 100% on new business generation working closely with the Head of Sales capitalising on opportunities presented by recent regulatory changes. Day to Day responsibilities of the role:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive growth within the market
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and client acquisitions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and potential clients.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to the market.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and materials.
  • Support the sales team in articulating the value proposition of our services to potential clients.
  • Provide regular reports on market trends, sales performance, and business development activities.
  • Manage outbound sales, generate leads, and close deals across the company’s strategic business units.
  • Work consultatively with new customers to build long-term commercial relationships.
  • Negotiate contracts to a successful conclusion and identify roadblocks to drive new business from conception to closure.
  • Present updates to senior management and work with service heads to target growth areas to meet sales budgets.
  • Liaise between customers and internal teams to ensure client requirements are met and account performance is maximised.
  • Stay updated with internal and external news, developments, and changes to regulations.
  • Create and develop business reporting on client behaviour and lead generation performance.
  • Be prepared for frequent nationwide travel as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in business development within the construction industry, desirable asbestos knowledgeable or healthcare, rail, blue light
  • Ability to develop and execute a strategic business development plan.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of current industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience in working with marketing teams to drive sales initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently on a nationwide basis - this role will cover the South East and parts of North West
