Role: Platform Operations Engineer 

Location: Bristol | hybrid

Salary: c. £70,000 + bonus + good pension + share options + private health

Key Responsibilities:

Support, maintain and improve highly scalable and reliable cloud platform infrastructure services, alongside day to day operations of the Cloud Platform and be accountable for its availability. Continuous improvement is a key ethos of the team and is organised into run and build squads, responsible for day to day monitoring / support and continuous improvement opportunities to enhance and optimise the services they offer.

Experience required:

  • Cloud experience with AWS ideally (Azure is OK)
  • Linux admin experience (preferably Red Hat) or similar
  • Proficient with Terraform and IaC
  • Exposure to Agile software development methodologies (Automation, CI/CD etc)

Nice to have:

  • Comfortable scripting with one or more of the following: Python, Perl or Shell (they use Python most often)
  • Experience with container technologies using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Automating configuration management (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet or Salt)
