Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Compliance Manager for our client a local government organisation in Bromley, London.

The successful post holder will provide property related matters related to auditing and ensuring the organisation managed, properties are fully compliant with all statutory and other relevant approved code of practice.

Provide specialist expert compliance advice to the authority, department and satellite sites and delivering management reports as required.

Ability to manage staff within the compliance team as well as the consultants and or specialist contractors and work closely with other divisions in the FM team, i.e. maintenance and projects.

This is initially a 8 month contract with the possibility to extend after that date.

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Develop a robust reporting and monitoring strategy to maintain compliance and settings standards to be applied which reflect the organisation's commitments across all operational buildings and have a critical oversight of statutory compliance across the portfolio of buildings.
  • Responsible for setting, monitoring and reporting the facilities compliance performance with respect to statutory requirements Borough wide, including leased buildings where applicable, and ensure maintaining a comprehensive facilitates information system to demonstrate compliance is in place.
  • Responsible for the development of a robust system to monitor developments and changes in legislation to compliance and ensure that regular updates are provided to the FM team members.
  • By a process of auditing and challenge of property maintenance systems identify any gaps in compliance, ensure that any gaps are properly reported and recorded and appropriate remedial actions are put in place to address the non-compliance in a reasonable timely manner escalate any non-compliance issues to the Head of Facilities Management.
  • Deputise for the Head of Facilities Management on matters of compliance.
  • Ability to review reports and certificates and identify and respond to actions required to maintain compliance and in addition prepare budget costs for non-compliant remedial works.

Personal Requirements:

  • Appropriate experience, expertise and sound knowledge in compliance management.
  • Ability to interpret legislative requirements and implement changes where required.
  • An in depth understanding of building management and related statutory legislation.
  • Knowledge of contract procedures.
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical services.
  • Proven experience in managing compliance across both large corporate multi-tenanted buildings and satellite sites.

Working Hours: 36.5hrs / 8:30am - 17:00pm / Monday to Friday

Pay: £400.00 p/h
