SQL Server Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Developer to play a hands-on role in the development and maintenance of customer-facing portals, internal systems, core administration systems, and analytics platforms. In this role, you’ll collaborate with internal IT teams to resolve issues, support technical and functional triage for incidents, and act as the 2nd and 3rd line for business-critical applications. This position requires a detail-oriented, organized professional with strong customer-focused skills to prioritize tasks based on business importance.

You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with application specialists and technical system experts to ensure customer satisfaction and achievement of IT targets. The ideal candidate will have a background in SQL Server development, T-SQL development, and experience with SSIS packages, as well as a keen eye for optimization, analytics, and troubleshooting.

After initial on boarding, this is a hybrid work pattern

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer SQL Server databases and develop views, stored procedures, and SSIS packages using Visual Studio.
  • Provide estimates and guidance for development and technical processes to ensure operational support for proposed solutions.
  • Manage and resolve 2nd and 3rd line incidents for client-facing technologies, messaging/APIs, and business applications.
  • Monitor and tune SQL Server database performance.
  • Participate in major incident resolutions, post-incident reviews, and change implementation assessments.
  • Liaise with external software and service suppliers, along with internal IT teams, to resolve complex incidents.
  • Extend the DevOps framework in collaboration with IT teams, focusing on automation and process improvement for development and release.
  • Oversee systems design, development, code reviews, debugging, and testing.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a SQL Server developer.
  • Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, database administration, data movement, SSIS, and data analytics.
  • Strong experience in development and deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) concepts.
  • Commitment to quality service delivery and enthusiasm for skill development.
  • Experience building APIs and RESTful services is an advantage.
