Veritas Education is working with a fantastic primary school in Bromley to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from April 2025. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of primary school children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, ensuring their needs are met both academically and socially.
  • Work with small groups of children to support their learning and development.
  • Assist in general classroom activities, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Support the classroom teacher and SENCO in implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe learning environment.
  • Be involved in day-to-day classroom duties, including preparing learning materials and resources.

Essential Criteria:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential.
  • A passion for working with young learners and supporting their individual needs.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient approach.
  • Experience in a primary school setting would be an advantage, but not essential.
