Remedy Education are on the hunt for an amazing Teaching Assistant to work in one of our leading mainstream School located in the London Borough of Bromley, South London. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team, where you will be working supporting a year 3 pupil in a 1:1 setting.

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

  • Graduates who studied either Psychology, Criminology, Education Studies or Creative Arts are welcome to apply!
  • Has experience working with children in a school setting
  • Has personal interests in supporting children and young people with special needs
  • A positive, proactive, and patient individual who has a can-do attitude and is willing to learn
  • Establishing good relationships with children, acting as a role model
  • Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children, supporting difference and ensuring that all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
  • Supporting the child with their learning and development in areas such as literacy, numeracy, Key Stage and/or subject specific

Teaching Assistant's Main Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the class teacher with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities, as well as monitoring and assessing children's achievement and progress
  • Actively involved in a wide range of activities, promoting the physical, cognitive, cultural, social, and emotional well-being of the pupils
  • Actively interacting with children through play-based and sensory-related activities
  • Aware of various types of SEND
