Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Bromley

Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual looking to support students in their academic journey? A well-regarded secondary school in Bromley is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a long-term role, lasting until the end of the academic year.

Role Overview

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to students and teachers, helping to create an inclusive and productive learning environment. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for education and a commitment to supporting young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and supporting student learning
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students who require additional help
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Support students with special educational needs where required
  • Work closely with teachers and other school staff to implement lesson plans and learning strategies
  • Supervise students during non-classroom activities, such as break times and school outings
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or young people (in a school or related setting)
  • A valid DBS on the update service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient and proactive approach to working with students
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions from teaching staff
Salary

Pay will be dependent on experience.
