Responsibilities:

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for a range of exciting tasks, including:

  • Recording electricity and gas bills issued by energy suppliers in the systems correctly
  • Arranging electricity and gas supply contract renewals for supplies within your managed list before existing supply contracts expire. This involves providing termination notices, updating consumption figures, creating reports, approaching and liaising with suppliers, updating clients, recommending supply contracts, and securing contracts once instructions are received
  • Recording supply contract details secured within the systems in full and being able to comment on the tender processes at any future date upon request by clients
  • Ensuring energy supplies which are switching between energy suppliers do so smoothly with all registration documents (including VAT Declaration Forms) processed by deadlines set. Deal with any objections to transfers raised by existing energy suppliers
  • Providing recommended electricity and gas budget figures upon request by clients
  • Communicating with others within our internal team to ensure metre reads are processed and energy supplier bills can be monitored at all times for supplies under your managed list

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A proven track record in managing customer accounts, ideally within the energy industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with data entry and systems management
