My client is seeking a Finance Manager to join their growing law firm in Bromley, Greater London.

The successful individual will lead the firms Accounts team and take control of the finance function. You will be a qualified or part-qualified accountant, with experience in a law firm. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic growing practice and be part of the management team that will take the firm forward.

Reporting to the Senior Partner, you will oversee and coordinate a small cashiering team, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions whilst maintaining compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules. This is a hands-on role that combines supervision, problem-solving, and a proactive approach to improving internal controls and procedures.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and assist the daily financial transaction for the firm
  • Ensure compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Billing and Invoicing
  • Generate financial reports as needed for management and regulatory purposes
  • Assist with management accounts
  • Provide insight into financial performance and trends
  • Stay informed about changes in legal finance regulations, especially the Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Implement and enforce financial policies to ensure compliance
  • Residual Client Balances

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Knowledge of the SRA Accounts rules
  • Experience of producing management accounts
  • Knowledge of VAT relating to professional practices
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to details
  • Leadership and management
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • Understanding of Money Laundering Regulations
