We are seeking skilled and experienced Fire Door Carpenters to join our team, operating across South London, Kent, and Reading. This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and weekly pay. As a Fire Door Carpenter, you will be responsible for the installation of fire doors in various settings, ensuring full compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Fire Door Installation: Accurately install fire doors per manufacturer specifications and legal requirements, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards.
Site Assessment and Preparation: Conduct site assessments to plan and prepare for door installation, making adjustments to existing structures if necessary.
Team Collaboration: Work in a two-person team, with each fitter responsible for installing one door per assignment. Collaborate effectively to complete projects efficiently and safely.
Quality Assurance: Perform checks on installed doors to ensure functionality, alignment, and compliance with fire safety regulations.
Customer Interaction: Professionally engage with clients and site managers, addressing any questions or concerns related to installations.
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of completed work, including materials used and time spent on each project.
Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, your team, and clients.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven carpentry experience, specifically in fire door installation.
Comprehensive knowledge of fire door regulations and standards (e.g., BS 8214, Building Regulations Part B).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across South London, Kent, and Reading.
