We are seeking a dedicated Payroller to manage and execute all payroll duties for over 300 staff members at a local school. This role offers a term-time only schedule with the flexibility to work from home once fully trained.
Day-to-day of the role:- Accurately run the monthly payroll for all the staff members, ensuring timely and correct payments.
- Maintain and update payroll records and handle payroll processing.
- Calculate deductions such as taxes, pensions, and other withholdings.
- Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies or queries.
- Prepare payroll reports for management and audit purposes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and payroll tax obligations.
- Collaborate with HR to align payroll processing with employee records, benefits, and new hires.
- Proven experience in payroll administration.
- Strong understanding of payroll software and tools.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organisational skills to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
