We are seeking a dedicated Payroller to manage and execute all payroll duties for over 300 staff members at a local school. This role offers a term-time only schedule with the flexibility to work from home once fully trained.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Accurately run the monthly payroll for all the staff members, ensuring timely and correct payments.
  • Maintain and update payroll records and handle payroll processing.
  • Calculate deductions such as taxes, pensions, and other withholdings.
  • Address and resolve any payroll discrepancies or queries.
  • Prepare payroll reports for management and audit purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and payroll tax obligations.
  • Collaborate with HR to align payroll processing with employee records, benefits, and new hires.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in payroll administration.
  • Strong understanding of payroll software and tools.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
