Our Client delivers premium plant hire products and solutions to a diverse customer base, backed by industry-leading customer service.
We are seeking an experienced Service Controller for our lovely well established client to enhance their depot team and support their growing business. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and servicing their fleet.
You must have a strong work ethic, be adaptable to changing priorities, and work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the service mailbox and telephone line.
- Raise repair jobs using their hire software (Syrinx) and notify customers of any damage charges.
- Enter plant inspection details into our hire software.
- Manage service schedules for LOLERs and EICRs.
- Write breakdown and repair damage reports.
- Organise third-party repairs.
Support the Service Manager to:
- Order parts
- Manage warranty claims
- Coordinate Mobile Engineers
- Conduct parts stock checks
- Arrange signwriting and tracker installations on new machinery
- Assist with fleet vehicle maintenance, including scheduling services and MOTs
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of two years' experience as a service controller/service coordinator in a tool/plant/vehicle company (required)
- Experience coordinating and liaising with engineers regarding maintenance/repair work (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills
- High attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Job Details:
- Full-time, Permanent
- Monday to Friday, 7am - 5pm
- Salary: £32,000.00 - £38,000.00 per year
