GSL Education London are seeking a committed Academic Mentor to join a vibrant team at a client secondary school in Bromley. This position is perfect for someone dedicated to guiding students through their academic journey and helping them reach their highest potential.

Responsibilities of an Academic Mentor:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group academic support to students.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personalised learning plans.
  • Support the teaching and learning of various subjects across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Help students develop effective study habits and organisational skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers to identify students' needs and tailor support accordingly.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements of an Academic Mentor:

  • Previous experience as an Academic Mentor or in a similar educational support role.
  • Strong understanding of the secondary school curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Ability to support students at KS3, KS4, and KS5 levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
