About the Role

Are you a passionate and experienced GCSE English Lecturer looking for a rewarding temporary teaching opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated GCSE English Lecturer to join our client at their Bromley Campus, delivering high-quality teaching to students.

This is a part-time role (3 days per week), and candidates should note that lunch breaks are unpaid and should not be claimed on weekly timesheets.

All candidates must hold an Enhanced DBS and will be subject to full teaching checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging GCSE English lessons, ensuring all students are supported in their learning.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit a diverse range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement.
  • Ensure compliance with college policies and KCSiE safeguarding guidelines.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation.
What We’re Looking For
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Enhanced DBS check (essential).
  • Experience teaching GCSE English, ideally within a Further Education or secondary setting.
  • Strong knowledge of GCSE curriculum, assessment methods, and differentiation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
