Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Assistant to join the nursery team. As a Nursery Assistant, you will assist in delivering a range of activities to support the development of young children. You will work closely with the nursery staff to ensure that each child's individual needs are met, promoting a fun, safe, and stimulating environment for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Nursery Nurse and teachers in planning and delivering high-quality activities.
  • Support children's learning and development by promoting creativity, exploration, and problem-solving.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, keeping records of their achievements.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  • Provide support for children with special educational needs (SEN) when required.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and stimulating nursery environment.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Assist in preparing and serving snacks and meals as necessary.

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3).
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of child development and early years education.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Enhanced DBS check (Veritas will assist in this process if necessary).

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working with children with additional needs or SEN.
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification.
