Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant Needed
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in the Bromley area, supporting students aged 4-14 with Autism (ASD) and other Special Educational Needs.
Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience supporting children with ASD and other SEND needs, either in a school setting or other relevant environment.
- In-depth knowledge of SEND best practices, including structured learning strategies and sensory regulation techniques.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills, with the ability to adapt to individual student needs.
- A patient, calm, and empathetic approach, with a passion for working in a specialist education setting.
Role Details
- Location: Bromley
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Pay: £85 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
- Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to students with ASD and other SEND needs in both classroom and one-to-one settings.
- Assist with communication, sensory regulation, and emotional support.
- Implement structured learning strategies to promote engagement and independence.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to create an inclusive and supportive environment.
