An inclusive school in Bromley is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (KS1/KS2) to join a vibrant team on a contract basis.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to supporting students' academic and personal development.
This role requires a blend of strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to foster a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in the planning and implementation of daily classroom activities
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing learning concepts.
- Help maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
- Support the development of students' social skills and behaviour management.
- Prepare and organise learning materials and resources.
- Assist with the assessment and documentation of student progress.
- Supervise students during breaks, field trips, and other school activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure the best educational outcomes for students.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Basic knowledge of child development and educational practices.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and software.
- A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable but not essential.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
