Role Overview:
As an Experienced Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher to support the academic and emotional development of students. You will assist with delivering lessons, provide one-on-one support, and help create an encouraging and safe learning environment. Your role will be integral to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
- Support students, including those with special educational needs (SEN), on a one-to-one or small group basis.
- Help prepare teaching materials and maintain a well-organized classroom.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
- Support positive behavior management in the classroom.
- Assist students during lunch and break times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Engage in school activities and meetings as required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
- A solid understanding of the primary school curriculum.
- Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with students and staff.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
- A relevant qualification (Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) is desirable.
