We are partnering with School, an inclusive and forward-thinking educational institution, to strengthen its HR team with an experienced HR Officer. You’ll be key to supporting the smooth operation of the school’s HR functions and ensuring a positive working environment for all staff. That’s where you come in...

?? As an HR Officer, you will:

  • Manage the recruitment process for new staff, including advertising vacancies, shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, and managing inductions.
  • Oversee the administration of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment law and school policies.
  • Handle case management, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management, ensuring adherence to school policy and legal requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on HR-related matters, including employee rights, wellbeing, and performance management.
  • Maintain accurate records of staff, including personal details, sickness, absence, and leave.
  • Administer the payroll system, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Support the senior leadership team with employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of staff development initiatives, including training and CPD opportunities.
  • Ensure that all HR processes are compliant with safeguarding requirements, maintaining confidentiality at all times.

  • Proven experience in case management and HR functions, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and case management procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Experience with HR management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach, with a commitment to supporting staff wellbeing and engagement.
  • A high level of discretion and professionalism, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
