About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Legacy Systems Specialist to address challenges arising from running legacy applications on unsupported Microsoft operating systems. 3. Isolate legacy applications to eliminate associated vulnerabilities and ensure network updates do not impact these systems.

Once a solution is identified, the individual will lead its implementation, testing, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess business requirements for legacy applications.
  • Develop and execute plans to mitigate risks posed by legacy systems.
  • Ensure all solutions meet security and operational standards.
  • Document processes and provide clear, actionable guidance for future maintenance.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Expertise in Windows Server 2008-2022.
  • Strong understanding of security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with Azure and domain structures.
  • Proficiency in scripting, Group Policy, and working with legacy software such as FoxPro and Access 97.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work outside regular business hours when required.
