Are you a dedicated and experienced Pastoral Manager looking for an opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive and thriving secondary school? We are seeking a passionate individual to join our team and help shape the well-being and development of our students.
About the RoleAs a Pastoral Manager, you will play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive school environment, promoting student welfare, and ensuring every child feels supported and valued. This long-term role requires a compassionate, proactive professional who can start immediately and commit through the end of the academic year.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership in supporting student well-being, behaviour, and personal development.
- Work closely with students, parents, and staff to address pastoral issues, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for learning.
- Develop and implement strategies to manage and improve student attendance and punctuality.
- Respond to and manage safeguarding concerns in line with school policies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of pastoral interventions.
- Liaise with external agencies to provide additional support for students when necessary.
- Support the transition process for new and returning students to ensure a smooth integration into the school community.
- Previous experience in a similar Pastoral Manager role within a secondary school setting.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to upholding student welfare.
- A valid DBS certificate registered on the Update Service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students, staff, and parents.
- Proven ability to manage behaviour and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Organisational skills to manage a diverse and demanding workload.
- Work in a supportive and dynamic school environment with a focus on student well-being.
