PFI Technical Manager


We have an exciting opportunity for a PFI Hard FM Technical Manager to join  a leading inclusive and friendly Asset Management company with excellent training and development carer opportunities. Reporting to the General Manager, this role plays a key part in ensuring the compliant delivery of Hard FM services. You will oversee inspections, audits, reporting, and remediation activities to maintain compliance and optimise efficiency in line with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client and Service Provider Contract Representatives.
  • Participate in daily meetings with stakeholders to review and enhance service delivery.
  • Monitor hard services, including the completion of planned maintenance against schedules and reactive or remedial works.
  • Ensure all technical aspects of service outputs align with the Hard FM Services Contract and PFI Project Agreement.
  • Oversee the timely delivery of works to avoid financial penalties.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with service partners, attending planned meetings and ensuring seamless cooperation as needed.


Qualifications and Technical Skills

  • Degree-level qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Building Services (or equivalent) ESSENTIAL
  • ONC/HNC qualification in electrical/mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working in the PFI sector within a healthcare hospital environment
  • Proven track record in managing Hard FM/Technical Services Contracts.
  • Strong influencing skills and a customer-focused approach
  • Excellent communication abilities, with the flexibility to think quickly and propose practical solutions.
  • Commitment to high standards and the ability to drive positive change where necessary.
  • Successful completion of a DBS check at the required level is essential.
