About the Role

As a Student Achievement Tutor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students through their academic journey, ensuring they have the necessary skills, guidance, and motivation to succeed. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging group tutorials covering safeguarding, pastoral support, careers, social action, and study skills.
  • Conducting one-to-one sessions to set SMART targets and track student progress.
  • Monitoring study programme elements, including career development, work experience, and enrichment activities.
  • Collaborating with curriculum teams to implement attendance and behaviour interventions.
  • Providing pastoral support and liaising with internal and external teams to remove barriers to achievement.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with young people in an educational or support setting.
  • The ability to deliver engaging group sessions and conduct effective one-to-one mentoring.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with students, staff, and external organisations.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, supporting students to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
  • A commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding within an educational environment.

A relevant degree in youth work, education, or a related field would be advantageous, but a passion for student success and a flexible approach to work are essential.
