As a supply teacher for the school for Year 4, you can choose to work between either 2, 3 or 5 days a week based on your lifestyle needs. In this role, you will inspire a love for teaching and bring the enthusiasm and energy needed to make a positive impact on children's lives.About your role as a Supply TeacherAs a Supply Teacher, you will have:* You will need to cover classes by delivering planned lessons set by the class teacher or sometimes your own lessons for unplanned sick cover.*Teach pre-prepared lessons and ensure continuity of learning in the absence of a regular teacher.*Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, managing student behaviour effectively.*Quickly adapt to different classroom settings and student needs, often with little prior notice.*Adhere to the school's policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.*Mark students' work and provide detailed feedback to the class teacher*Communicate effectively with other staff members, including teaching assistants and senior leadership, to ensure a smooth transition and continuity for students.What you will need to succeed*You will need to hold QTS and the right to work in the UK.*Experience working within a KS2 (Year 4, Year 5 & Year 6) primary classroom*Good behaviour management and organisational skills*You must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a DBS through HaysWhat you will get in return*A dedicated consultant on hand*School has no marking policy, so do not need to take marking home*Work alongside other teachers and plan lessons within groups*There is a school dog*Supply work in your chosen year groups*Teaching assignments in your local area*A competitive pay rate*Online timesheets and easy access*Access to over 4,000 free online training courses*Free safeguarding trainingWhat you need to do nowIf you would like to be part of the Hays supply pool, please click apply now.If you are not looking for a new role and know of someone looking for day-to-day supply or a long-term/ permanent role, please refer them to us, and we will reward you with a referral bonus of £250 in high street vouchers.
