We are seeking a Subject Leader of Religious Studies / PSHE to join our dedicated team in Orpington. If you have taught both subjects and are comfortable delivering lessons up to KS5, this is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of both departments and inspire students in their personal, moral, and academic growth. What were looking for:

• Proven experience teaching Religious Studies and PSHE across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
• A genuine passion for both subjects and a commitment to making them engaging and relevant to students.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of teachers.
• The ability to develop and implement dynamic curricula that support the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of students.
• A creative approach to teaching, with the ability to develop innovative resources and teaching strategies.
• A collaborative mindset and a dedication to ensuring both subjects are integrated into the broader educational framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Religious Studies and PSHE departments, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
• Develop, implement, and monitor engaging and challenging curricula for both subjects at Key Stage 3, 4, and 5.
• Provide leadership and professional development for teaching staff within both subjects.
• Monitor and track student progress across both departments, ensuring excellent outcomes.
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages personal development and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to support the wider school ethos and strategic goals.
• Ensure that both subjects are promoted and celebrated across the school community.
