Senior Family Support Worker


Location: Bromley & Greenwich (Based in Bromley)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: 36,648 per annum


Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of families and children? Join our Client's team at a children's charity and help us provide vital support to families in Bromley and Greenwich!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and manage our programs, ensuring effective internal and external referral processes, including needs assessment and safeguarding concerns.
  • Manage a caseload of 4 families, delivering targeted interventions that focus on whole-family support.
  • Lead the CapeAbility In Schools program for 60 children annually, fostering resilience and self-esteem in Key Stage 2 students through engaging group activities.
  • Facilitate group work programs for parents, including Strengthening Families Strengthening Communities and Child Overcoming Domestic Abuse, empowering families through education and support.
  • Safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, taking appropriate actions when necessary.
  • Provide practical and emotional support to families, offering advocacy and guiding them to specialist and universal services as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience of working independently
  • Experience of safeguarding and the escalation processes
  • Recognised qualification in childcare, social work, social care, counselling, youth work or education
  • Experience of working with children and families
  • Experience of child engagement, child's voice work and ensuring they remain at the centre of interventions
