Join the outstanding team at Bromley Children’s Social Care, recently rated "outstanding" by Ofsted. We are seeking highly talented and ambitious Senior Practitioners to join our Referral and Assessment Service. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on children and young people's lives in the Borough.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work within the Referral and Assessment Teams that handle all new referrals from the Bromley MASH.
  • Undertake Child and Family assessments to determine the best ways to meet children’s needs.
  • Be part of a team that goes on duty one week every six weeks, during which you will receive new allocations.
  • Carry an average caseload of 8 families, allowing for thorough and impactful social work interventions.
  • Engage in a relationship-based practice framework, focusing on forming positive relationships with families and professionals to effect change.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Care.
  • Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check.
  • Registration with Social Work England (or ability to obtain registration prior to commencement of employment).
  • Relevant experience and post-qualification experience in children and families social work within a statutory, voluntary, or independent sector organisation.
  • Passion for working with children and their families and the ability to form effective relationships.
