We are excited to announce two vacancies for Senior Social Workers within the Adult Social Care sector at the London Borough of Bromley. These roles are situated in the Orpington & The Crays Locality Team and the Hayes & Five Elms Team. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Undertake care management and safeguarding tasks as per statutory duties under Adult Social Care legislation.
  • Supervise and manage staff, supporting them through complex and challenging casework.
  • Maintain effective relationships with partner agencies, including health, voluntary sector, and commissioned services.
  • Utilise various IT systems to record information contemporaneously on social care systems.
  • Ensure adherence to the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act, incorporating best practices into daily operations.
  • Participate in regular supervision, training, and career development activities as part of a supportive management team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified and registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
  • Experienced in supervising and managing staff.
  • Proficient in performance management and supporting staff through complex casework.
  • Skilled in maintaining partnerships with various agencies.
  • Competent in using IT systems relevant to social care.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet performance targets, and manage systems effectively.
  • A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service check is essential.
