We are excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated Senior Practitioner to join our Referral and Assessment Team. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional social care services to children and young people. We are seeking a registered professional who is committed to contributing to our journey of excellence.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Engage in proactive case management to ensure the welfare of children and young people within the borough.
  • Conduct thorough Child and Family assessments to determine the best course of action to meet children’s needs.
  • Work within a duty rotation system, managing new allocations and maintaining lower caseloads to facilitate high-quality social work interventions.
  • Collaborate with families and professionals to foster positive changes and support the well-being of children and young people.
  • Participate in a relationship-based practice framework, focusing on building strong, supportive relationships with service users.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Registration with Social Work England or eligibility to obtain registration before employment commences.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Children Act 1989, relevant legislation, regulations, and guidance.
  • Understanding of child development, family dynamics, and methods of social work intervention.
  • Post-qualification experience in children and families social work within a statutory, voluntary, or independent sector organisation.
  • Degree, Masters, C.Q. S.W., Dip.S.W., or equivalent qualification in social work.
