Join our dedicated team at the Children and Families Hub in Bromley, where we are committed to supporting children and families through early help and protection. We are seeking highly talented and ambitious registered Senior Practitioners to contribute to our journey towards excellence.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Screen referrals to assess both early help requests and safeguarding concerns using a range of screening tools.
  • Identify the most appropriate and effective support for families in need.
  • Work closely with a multi-agency workforce including Team Managers, Social Workers, Business Support Officers, and a Business Support Manager to deliver targeted, high-quality interventions.
  • Collaborate with core partners within the Hub, including Police, Health, Education, Youth Justice Service (YJS), and IDVA Navigators, to gather valuable intelligence that informs threshold recommendations.
  • Engage with virtual partners such as Probation and ATLAS to gain insights, particularly in relation to children at risk of extra-familial harm.
  • Assess risk in a multi-agency context and make sound recommendations based on thorough analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified social work practitioner with a high standard of front-line statutory social work experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in children and families work, with a strong understanding of legislation and statutory guidance relating to safeguarding.
  • Ability to use IT recording systems effectively and maintain excellent recording skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of forming good relationships with families and professionals.
  • Passionate about making positive changes for children and young people.
