We are a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Bromley, seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support our students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role is integral to our mission of providing a supportive and enriching environment for academic and personal growth.
Day to day of the role:- Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Support classroom teachers in managing student behaviour and maintaining a conducive learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with students to help them gain confidence and achieve their academic goals.
- Collaborate with parents and other staff members to ensure the holistic development of students.
- Engage in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Legal right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available for this position).
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a secondary school setting.
- Proven experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.
- Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and supporting a positive learning environment.
- Good understanding of the UK academic system and curriculum.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting studentsā educational journeys.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
