Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School, Bromley
Are you passionate about supporting young people in their education? A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Bromley is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team immediately. This full-time, long-term role will continue until the end of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring they can access the curriculum.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement effective learning strategies.
- Support students both one-on-one and in small groups, fostering confidence and independence.
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Encourage social and emotional development in students.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or similar setting.
- Experience supporting students with SEND is essential.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service is required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- A proactive and patient approach to learning support.
Salary is dependent on experience.
