Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School, Bromley

Are you passionate about supporting young people in their education? A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Bromley is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team immediately. This full-time, long-term role will continue until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring they can access the curriculum.
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement effective learning strategies.
  • Support students both one-on-one and in small groups, fostering confidence and independence.
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Encourage social and emotional development in students.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or similar setting.
  • Experience supporting students with SEND is essential.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service is required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A proactive and patient approach to learning support.
Pay:

Salary is dependent on experience.
