Learning Support Assistant - Mainstream Secondary School, Bromley

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a dynamic secondary school? A fantastic mainstream secondary school in Bromley is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, long-term position running until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within the classroom.

  • Assist in delivering engaging lessons by working closely with teachers and support staff.

  • Support students' social, emotional, and academic development.

  • Implement and adapt learning strategies to meet individual student needs.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents where necessary.

  • Assist with personal care and mobility needs where required.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational or care setting.

  • Experience supporting students with SEND.

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting student learning.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
