This SEN Teaching assistant role for a SEND School located in Bromley is a 5 day a week long term role set to start immediately.

SEN Teaching Assistant Role Overview:
Join a SEND School we are recruiting for to support children with diverse needs, including ASD, SEMH, and physical disabilities. You’ll work closely with teachers and therapists to create a positive, inclusive environment and help students reach their potential.

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Location: Orpington, Bromley
Pay rate : £85 to £100 per day PAYE
School Focus: Supporting children with ASD, SEMH, behavioural challenges, and PMLD
Contract: Full-time 5 days a week

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support individual and group learning activities and 1:1 students
  • Assist students with behavioural and emotional challenges
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom
  • Provide personal care where needed for students with physical disabilities

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with SEN/SEMH or care roles (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience
  • Training in safeguarding or de-escalation (advantageous)
