About the Role:You will work 1:1 or in small groups, supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) such as Autism, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, and physical disabilities. The role involves:
- Delivering tailored interventions and structured routines to foster engagement and independence.
- Using specialist communication tools like PECs and Makaton to support students' learning and communication.
- Assisting with personal care and adapting activities to meet physical or sensory needs.
- Collaborating with SENCOs, therapists, and families to support individual education plans (IEPs).
- Implementing positive behavior management strategies to create a calm, inclusive learning environment.
- Leading sensory and therapeutic activities to support students' holistic development.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience supporting children with complex SEN needs in primary settings.
- Is proficient in PECs, Makaton, and other adaptive communication strategies.
- Demonstrates empathy, resilience, and a passion for inclusion.
- Thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to support children in reaching their full potential.
