Role Overview:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with EYFS and KS1 students who have SEN, including Autism and sensory needs. Your role will involve supporting these students in a group setting, ensuring they receive the tailored assistance they need to thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide small group support to EYFS and KS1 students with SEN, focusing on Autism and sensory needs.
  • Assist in the delivery of tailored educational programs and interventions designed to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create and implement effective learning strategies.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and development.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback and contributing to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with SEN students, particularly those with Autism and sensory needs.
  • Strong understanding of EYFS and KS1 curricula and teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
