The role – SENCO
I am working with a school based in Bromley that are looking for a new SENCO to join their team! In this role you must determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school. As a SENCO you will be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability. You must provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and other agencies. In this SENCO role you must make sure the SEN policy is put into practice and its objectives are reflected in the school Development plan. You will also need to maintain and implement targets on EHCP for all SEN pupils.
The school – SEMH
This SEMH school is based in Bromley and caters for students aged 11 – 16 years old. The school’s focus is on developing core skills of literacy and numeracy, whilst offering a broad range of other curriculum areas to provide real interest for their pupils. They have been awarded an overall effectiveness grade of Good with Leadership and Management being graded as Outstanding by Ofsted. The school has great transport links, and many local bus routes.
