Our Greenwich Primary Mainstream School is a vibrant school which has excellent facilities. The school is committed to high quality inclusive education for students from Reception to Year 6, including a Designated Resource Provision for children with Special Educational Needs.

 

The school has achieved a range of nationally accredited awards and was rated by Ofsted as Outstanding in Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development and Leadership and Management in October 2024.

 

We are seeking a highly organised and efficient SEN Teacher to work under the direction of the Head Teacher, Senior manager and SENCo to support the provision for vulnerable students and pupils with Special Educational Needs. You will work with the SEN Team and liaise with parents, teachers and other professionals. It is desirable that the successful candidate have experience of working with students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism.

Main responsibilities

  • The teaching of SEN at KS1/2 level.
  • The teaching of a range of subjects at KS1/LKS2 level.
  • Teaching and preparing pupils for relevant qualifications in various subjects
  • Supporting staff/pupils/parents in preparing pupils for secondary transfer.
  • The delivery of extra-curricular activity.

Previous experience in a similar role is necessary. The successful candidate will have to meet the person specification in order to be considered for the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
