Are you passionate about helping others develop their English skills? We are looking for a dedicated ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Tutor to join our team and support learners in improving their language proficiency.
About the Role:
As an ESOL Tutor, you will work with individuals or small groups to enhance their English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. You will tailor lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners, helping them gain confidence and achieve their personal, academic, or professional goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging ESOL lessons tailored to learners' abilities and goals.
- Assess learners' progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and needs.
- Support learners in building confidence in real-life English usage.
- Maintain records of attendance and progress.
- Location: Bromley
- Position: ESOL Tutor
- Hours: up to 25 hours per week
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Duration: ongoing until a school placement is found
- Contract Type: Temporary/part-time
- Pay rate: from 25 per hour
Experience, Training and Qualifications of the Tutor:
- QTS, CELTA, DELTA, TESOL
- Demonstrated experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Possess UK classroom teaching experience and experience delivering tailored lesson plans
- Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
- Have experience working with challenging behaviour and disengaged pupils
To be eligible for this role, the potential Tutor must:
- Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional child-related references.
