Job Purpose
  • Manage your own client portfolio, advising clients on their day-to-day compliance requirements
  • Preparation of complex tax returns
  • Preparation and reviewing of tax advisory work
  • Analyse information and communicate tax implications clearly to support Senior Managers
  • Liaise with third parties to collate tax return information
  • Oversee junior staff by reviewing work and offering support to manage deadlines
  • Ensure HMRC compliance with relevant statutory requirements
  • Research regularly to interpret changes in tax laws and regulations
  • Nurture meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues alike
  • Work closely with senior management team to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are met
  • Champion your own professional development by undertaking progression opportunities where possible

Job Requirements
  • CTA / ATT qualified, currently studying or with the desire to begin studying
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a personal tax role within practice
  • Excellent communicator, both on paper and in person
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • An enthusiastic learner who can grasp technical concepts
  • Well organised and confident in managing own workload autonomously
  • Good at working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, professional and reliable
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude towards meeting deadlines
  • Personable, proactive and passionate about building relationships
  • Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel etc
