Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and reports
  • Processing purchase orders, invoices, payments, and receipts
  • Reconciling bank statements and key control accounts
  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Providing administrative support to the finance department
Qualifications:
  • Experience in an accounts department, preferably in a similar role
  • AAT qualification or equivalent is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Xero preferred)
  • Good MS Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
