Job Title: Accounts Assistant Working Hours: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 per annum Location: BromsgroveMy client is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team in Bromsgrove. This role involves handling credit control, customer invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation tasks, along with supporting the preparation of financial statements. Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, experience with Sage, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Credit control, via invoicing, monthly statements & chasing overdue invoices.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations to include bank accounts.
  • Quarterly VAT Returns.
  • Process customer invoicing & creditor payments.
  • Assist in the overall preparation & presentation of quarterly & annual accounts.
  • Process card payments.
  • Payment allocation on Sage.
  • Handling customer requests and resolving issues.
  • Support the Account Manager as required.
 Skills and Attributes required:
  • Knowledge of accounting software, particularly Sage.
  • Strong organiser and multi-tasker.
  • Ability to problem solve and confident in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
