A globally renowned engineering business that supplies automated systems to various sectors is seeking a Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager to join its thriving operation. With over 50 years of manufacturing prowess, the company wants to grow and strengthen its team, including appointing a professional to manage the QHSE function. In return, the successful candidate will receive a salary of circa £55,000+, a bonus scheme, an early Friday finish, company events, 33 days of annual leave, plus the opportunity to take full ownership of the QHSE function and drive meaningful improvements.

QHSE Manager duties include -

  • Liaise with other teams to ensure that QSHE is considered during the initial development stages.
  • Ensure that customer concerns are investigated, and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Assist with continuous product and process improvements, documenting any changes.
  • Maintain the QMSs and ensure that these are aligned with customer and company requirements.
  • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring the business is always legally compliant.
  • Implement periodic gap analysis and identify hazards and opportunities for enhancing quality, health, safety, environmental, and compliance standards.

QHSE Manager desirable skills and experience -

  • Experience working in a similar role (quality manager, etc.).
  • Ideally experience within Aerospace, Defence, Industrial, or Yellow Goods.
  • Ability to keep abreast with relevant systems and policies - ISO 14001, 45001, 9001 etc.
  • Relevant manufacturing/mechanical engineering education (HND/HNC).
  • Ideally Lead auditor, Nebosh, and/or IOSH trained.
