Linsco are looking for a Site Engineer to start work on a project in Bromsgrove.

You will be responsible for accurately marking and measuring the site to ensure that construction works align with the approved plans and design specifications. This role primarily involves managing earthworks, drainage systems, and slabbing activities, ensuring that these critical elements are executed to the highest standards.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Surveying and Marking: Set out and survey construction lines and levels, ensuring the accurate placement of structures, earthworks, and drainage systems according to engineering drawings and plans.

  • Earthworks: Oversee and manage the excavation, cutting, and filling processes, ensuring the site is correctly graded and compacted to meet design specifications.

  • Drainage: Accurately set out drainage systems, ensuring proper alignment, levels, and gradients to facilitate effective water flow and prevent drainage issues.

  • Slabbing: Set out and level areas for slabbing, including pavements, roads, or floors, ensuring alignment with plans and accurate positioning for smooth installation.

  • Quality Control: Monitor and inspect the construction works to ensure that the earthworks, drainage, and slabbing activities meet project requirements, specifications, and quality standards.

  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all health and safety protocols on site, including maintaining safe work practices and conducting risk assessments for the tasks involved.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, site managers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination and execution of works, keeping projects on schedule.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site measurements, site conditions, and progress reports, providing regular updates to project managers and other stakeholders.

Rate negotiable dependant on if you have your own kit

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer, particularly with kerbing and drainage
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to evolving site conditions
  • Proficient with modern setting out equipment (e.g., total station, GPS)
  • CSCS card and relevant qualifications in civil engineering or a related field
